PAIS Summer School
Before the conference, the Netherlands ME Cohort and Biobank (NMCB), together with ME/CFS Lines and partner networks, will organise a 2-day Summer School for PhD students and early-career researchers working on Long COVID, ME/CFS and related PAIS conditions (25-26 August).
The Summer School is designed as a small, interactive training event with space for approximately 40 participants. The programme will combine lectures from leading researchers with interactive sessions focused on:
- best practices in clinical research
- patient participation in research
- current debates in diagnostics
- presentation and communication skills
- career development and collaboration opportunities
The aim is to create a collaborative environment where young scientists can learn from each other, interact with senior researchers, and build international research networks.

More information about the programme and application process will follow soon.

Patient Conference Recap
Online & Onsite
On Saturday 29 August, a Patient Conference Recap will take place, designed specifically for people living with PAIS, including Long COVID.
During this session, selected conference speakers and participants will provide accessible, plain-language summaries of key insights presented during the conference. The aim is to share the most relevant scientific and clinical developments in a format that is meaningful and understandable for patients and their supporters.
This session will be accessible both onsite and via a livestream, with the opportunity for online participants to submit questions during the session. Further details about registration and participation will follow.
