What Unites Us
At the heart of this conference are the millions of people worldwide living with Long COVID, ME/CFS, and related PAIS conditions. Their wellbeing, future, and quality of life must remain more important than individual positions, institutional interests, or scientific competition.
The ISLC-PAIS Conference was created from the belief that meaningful progress requires international collaboration, open dialogue, and the willingness to work across disciplines, countries, and perspectives. Patients and families benefit most when scientific progress is driven by collaboration, openness, and shared purpose.
Patients do not want to see division, they want to see real progress
We encourage all participants to contribute in a spirit of professionalism, mutual respect, scientific curiosity, and shared responsibility. Even where opinions differ, we should never lose sight of the common goal that brings us together: improving the lives of people affected by Long COVID and related PAIS conditions.

From professional ballet dancer to life confined to a darkened room.
Anil van der Zee’s story reflects the profound impact PAIS conditions can have on human lives.

Through honest videos, Laure Wiggers helps others with ME/CFS.
By openly sharing her setbacks and coping strategies, she has become a great source of support.

Brenda has dealt with more than 20 years of dismissal and pain.
Her story reflects the urgent need for compassionate listening and earlier intervention.
By participating in the conference, you agree to:
“To the best of our ability, we aim to provide a welcoming, scientifically open, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees. We ask all involved to contribute to a friendly, professional, collaborative, and respectful atmosphere throughout the conference.”
