Towards a Systems-Level Framework of Post-Exertional Malaise in ME/CFS and Long COVID
This session will introduce a systems-level framework to better understand post-exertional malaise (PEM) across ME/CFS and Long COVID. Integrating physiological, immunological, and metabolic perspectives, the talk will explore potential mechanisms underpinning PEM and highlight emerging research directions. The session will consider how a systems-based approach may support improved diagnosis, stratification, and development of targeted interventions.
