Slowed Muscle Oxygenation Dynamics During Submaximal Handgrip Exercise in Patients with Post-COVID

This presentation investigates how muscles use and recover oxygen during exercise in people with Post-COVID Condition. Using near-infrared spectroscopy, the study identifies delayed muscle oxygenation and recovery despite normal muscle strength, providing new evidence that impaired oxygen utilization may contribute to fatigue, post-exertional malaise, and exercise intolerance in Long COVID.
