Conference Program
Wednesday, August 26th
15:00 – 19:00
This is the program of the ISLC-PAIS Conference held in Amsterdam from 26–29 August 2026.
Video on Demand access is included at no additional cost for in-person attendees of the 2026 conference. If you did not attend in person, you can purchase access through our VOD page. Recordings are being published in stages. We expect the remaining recordings approved for publication to be online around mid-November 2026.
We apologize for the delay. Following a security breach, large parts of the website have had to be rebuilt by our webmaster, who is a volunteer living with Long COVID. Editing around 100 conference recordings and completing the review and approval process with speakers have also taken longer than anticipated.
Following the security breach, we will send new login credentials to all in-person attendees as soon as all slides, videos and transcripts have been uploaded.

Plenary 1 – Long COVID, the first PAIS studied at scale; what we learned and what comes next
Long COVID is the first post-acute infectious disease studied at scale in the digital health era. Big data, compute and advanced modeling delivered timely insight that shaped how we understand and respond to it. This seminar traces that journey: organ system involvement, mechanisms, and how acute infections give rise to chronic disease, and closes with a forward-looking research and policy agenda.
